Ratatat’s valiant return is upon us this summer. I don’t know about you, but it kind of caught me off guard. I didn’t actually know they had a new LP coming out until Shiller came out the other week. Well, the inventively titled LP3 is nearly upon us, and here’s a weird video to tide you over until it actually hits.

So, I hope they don;t get sued for using all this Predator footage.

So, who knew the Cut Copy boys had a sense of humor? I never envisioned a video for this song like this, but I kinda like it.

Here at Tomorrow Today we embrace hooliganism, so Justice’s new video for ‘Stress’ is right up our alley. At times it may cross the line into criminal behavior, but sometimes you can’t help it. If I had one of those jackets who knows the kind of crazy shit I’d feel like doing.

Coupled with the released of the new GTA, I feel like plenty of people may be replicating these acts of hooliganism, and we support this 110%.

You can watch a higher quality version here.

Ok, star might be too strong a word, but the Teenagers want your footage for their video. According to their website:

we are doing a video for our song “feeling better”
you just have to film yourself singing along the song and send us the footage

-film yourself with any camera, video cam, computer, webcam…
– do the whole song and sing along the lyrics
-send everything to theteenagers@gmail.com
-PLEASE RECORD THE WHOLE SONG
and dance, play guitar, bass, drums, play anything, write the teenagers on your body, have fun…

LOVE
the teenagers

What are you waiting for!?! Get your video camera/webcam/whatever and get on it!

Free Coathangers Show!

March 26, 2008

ch-small.jpg

Well, The Coathangers were just on Tomorrow Today, which was a very nice treat. They spun some of their fave records and entertained us for the whole show. They’re awesome girls and you have no excuse for not checking them out.

I apologize for the technical difficulties, but it’s WMRE policy to have shows go as un-smoothly as possible. Long story short, the record player is rarely used, and apparently barely works. But, other than that, having the Coathangers on was amazing. Maybe they should be there every week.

But, this isn’t what you’re here for! You read the title– I’m not trying to trick you:

The Coathangers, as previously mentioned, are headlining WMRE’s Localsfest II next Friday, April 4th, along with the help of The Hiss. The show will be at Emory’s Burlington Road Building and completely FREE and open to the public (this is not just for students).

There’s seriously no reason not to go. They’re playing a show the next night that COST MONEY! Why waste your dough on that when you can see them for free!?

Anyways, it’s going to be incredible, check back for more info. Also, check out that sweet shot I took of them for the upcoming issue of Frequency. Sneak Preview!

The Coathangers - Shut the Fuck Up

Atlanta’s own unstoppable foursome, The Coathangers, will be gracing our show TOMORROW! This is truly an event you can’t miss.

For half of the show they’ll be picking the songs, so you know it will be entertaining. For the latter half Brian and I will actually work up the courage to talk to our idols and ask them a few questions. Hopefully no pants will be wet by the end.

Why The Coathangers? Why now?
Well I’ll tell you why! The Coathangers are headlining WMRE’s (Unprecedented) Second Localsfest of the year. They’re playing alongside the impressive Hiss. It’ll be a great show, it’ll be FREE, it’ll be April 4th at Emory– More info to follow.

BE THERE!!! Tomorrow night, 10-12, wmre.fm

The Coathangers - Parking Lot

Foreign Cinema

Two new videos from the over-cultured France and Italy. One’s pretty heavy, while the other keeps things pretty light, you decide which is which:

Yelle - Je Veux Te Voir

Chromatics - Killing Spree

The video for their new single, This Boy’s In Love. This album is shaping up to be pretty impressive.

If you missed their last vid, check it out here, be warned, it’s kinda scary.

Their second album, Apocalypso, comes out April 12th on Modular. The Presets on Myspace

You can view a higher quality version of the colorful mess and pseudo gore here.

Her self-titled debut album drops April 22 on Downtown Records.
